[12-19-2021] Harris County, TX – One Woman Dead in Two-Vehicle Crash with Suspected DUI Driver on FM 529

One unidentified 43-year-old woman was killed in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Harris County on Sunday, December 19, 2021.

The collision happened around 5:00 a.m. in the area of FM 529 and Settlers Village Drive.

The woman was driving on Settlers Village Drive. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, another driver traveling eastbound on FM 529 ran a red light and struck her vehicle as she attempted to make a left turn.

Gonzalez said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Pedro M., 28, the driver of the striking vehicle, was arrested after showing signs of intoxication.

The 28-year-old driver was later charged with manslaughter due to intoxication.
