One driver was killed after a deadly rear-end crash involving a tractor-trailer at Interstate 35 on Wednesday afternoon, August 25.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened at around 4:13 p.m. at Interstate 35 southbound at mile marker 283. A Ford F-150 pickup truck rear-ended a tractor-trailer under unclear circumstances. How the accident occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established.
The Ford F-150 was wedged underneath the tractor-trailer after the crash. Emergency personnel had to extricate the Ford driver from the wreckage. Unfortunately, the Ford F-150 driver was fatally injured in the mishap.
The driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional information about the accident is unavailable at the moment. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
