A 38-year-old man identified as Anthony H. was killed while another person was injured after a truck accident on U.S. 271 on Wednesday morning, September 1.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened at around 6:20 a.m. on U.S. 271, four miles south of Talco. A northbound 2018 GMC Sierra driven by Hale and a northbound 1987 John Deere farm tractor collided on the roadway.
How the collision occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established. The GMC driver was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor was rushed to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was identified as 41-year-old Juan H.
Information about the accident is limited at the moment. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the collision.
