A 38-year-old man identified as Benjamin A. was killed in a deadly motorcycle crash in North Lubbock County on Tuesday afternoon, September 7.
The accident transpired at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of North University Avenue and County Road 6000, northwest of the Lubbock Landfill.
A Dodge Ram was towing a flatbed train when it turned left onto CR 6000, a motorcycle then attempted to pass the Dodge Ram, but it struck the back left side of the truck and the front of the trailer.
The motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries in the mishap. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Dodge driver was uninjured in the mishap. He remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The accident is currently under further investigation.
