A 25-year-old man identified as Christopher R. was killed after a deadly two-vehicle collision on U.S. 59 on Tuesday afternoon, September 14.
The deadly collision took place in U.S. 59, about one mile north of Marshall, at approximately 12:15 p.m. A 2012 Dodge Ram was trying to cross the northbound lanes of the highway from a private lane, but it failed to yield the right of way and was hit by a northbound 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer.
The Dodge driver was fatally injured in the crash. He was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Mitsubishi driver was rushed to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Additional information about the crash is unavailable at the moment. The accident is currently under further investigation.
