[09-20-2021] Harris County, TX – One Killed, Two Others Injured After a Deadly DUI Crash in Houston

One person was killed while two others were injured after a deadly DUI crash in southwest Houston on early Sunday morning, September 20.

The deadly crash happened in the 11800 block of Chimney Rock Road at Gasmer Drive at approximately 3:00 a.m. A vehicle reportedly ran a red light and struck another vehicle at the intersection.

Authorities later determined that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence at the time of the accident. A passenger inside the vehicle that ran a red light was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and the passenger inside the second vehicle sustained serious injuries in the mishap. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment. The accident is currently under further investigation.
