[09-25-2021] Harris County, TX – Bus Accident on Bennington Street Kills One and Injures Two Others

One person was killed while two others were injured after a traffic crash involving a METRO bus on Bennington Street on Saturday night, September 25.

The fatal crash transpired at approximately 7:09 p.m. in the 3500 block of Bennington Street in northeast Houston. A METRO bus and another unspecified vehicle were involved in the collision. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.

A passenger inside the vehicle was killed in the accident. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the car and the METRO bus driver were both injured in the crash. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The case is currently under further investigation. Authorities will determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
