A police officer identified as Officer Landon S. was injured after a two-vehicle collision involving a DUI driver in Texarkana on Tuesday night, September 28.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the crash happened on South Lake Drive near W 4th Street in Texarkana.
The officer attempted to turn onto South Lake Drive when a Chrysler Pacifica traveling at high speeds crashed into his patrol vehicle.
The officer sustained minor injuries and was immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment. The other driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The Chrysler driver was identified as 31-year-old Brian O. He was arrested for DWI and booked into the Bi-State Jail after being discharged from the hospital. His bond has been set at $15,000. The case is currently under further investigation.
