[10-09-2021] Harris County, TX – Wrong-Way Collision Involving Multi-Vehicles on SH-249 Results in One Death

One unidentified person was killed after a fatal wrong-way collision involving multiple vehicles in northwest Harris County on Saturday night, October 9.

The accident took place in the 14700 block of SH-249, between Hollister Road and Seton Lake Drive, at approximately 9:45 p.m. A Dodge Journey reportedly traveled northbound in the southbound lanes for unclear reasons and crashed head-on with an oncoming Toyota Matrix.

A Toyota Tundra attempted to avoid the Dodge but ended up crashing into the Toyota Matrix. The Dodge then continued driving in the wrong direction and collided with a Honda Accord. The driver of the Toyota Matrix was fatally injured in the crash.

He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Dodge driver sustained severe injuries and was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. The Hond and the Tundra drivers were uninjured in the mishap.

Additional information about the accident is unavailable at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Local authorities are further investigating the crash.
