[10-23-2021] Bexar County, TX – Man Avoids Injury After Getting Struck by Stolen Vehicle in San Antonio

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a 50-year-old wrong-way driver was critically injured after colliding into another vehicle on Wurzbach Parkway and Wetmore road on Saturday, last October 23.

According to initial reports, the accident transpired at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Wurzbach Parkway and Wetmore Road.

Initial findings show that a driver traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Wurzbach and eventually crashed at the intersection despite police efforts to stop him.

The other driver was reportedly in stable condition and was able to get out of his car. The wrong-way driver had to be freed from his vehicle then rushed to a local hospital.

Local authorities say the wrong-way driver was using a stolen vehicle. He was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle which could potentially escalate. The crash remains under investigation.
