One 24-year-old pedestrian was killed, and another person was injured after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 195 on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
The collision happened around 4:00 a.m. in the outside lane of SH 195.
The investigation showed that a gray 2005 Infiniti G35 was disabled in the outside lane of northbound SH 195, north of the Lampasas River overpass. The driver of the disabled vehicle was standing near the car in the roadway.
A gray 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound in the outside lane of SH 195 where it crashed into the disabled vehicle and the pedestrian standing next to the car.
The gray Hyundai crossed over the center median and came to a rest facing north in the southbound lanes of SH 195, following the initial impact.
The 24-year-old pedestrian, identified as Brandon William C., was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:10 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke.
The driver of the Hyundai was rushed to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Killeen Police Department is still investigating the crash.
