One person was injured as a result of a non-fatal multi-vehicle collision in east El Paso on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
The accident occurred on a Sunday at the intersection of George Dieter Drive and Pellicano Drive.
Initial reports show that a 2020 Toyota Corolla driven by 22-year-old Briana C. was traveling southbound on George Dieter Drive.
According to officials, Casas possibly ran a red light at the intersection of George Dieter Drive and Pellicano Drive.
A 2013 Hyundai Sonata was driven by 50-year-old Carlos L. who was traveling eastbound when Casas struck him.
The vehicle driven by Casas then hit an unmarked police vehicle, which was stopped at the red light facing northbound on George Dieter Drive.
Lechuga was rushed to Del Sol Hospital for treatment of facial injuries while Casas and the police officer were both reportedly uninjured. The collision remains under investigation.
