One unidentified 37-year-old woman was critically injured following a two-vehicle accident on NE Side on Sunday, November 21, 2021.
The crash occurred around 3:00 a.m. on the access road in the 2500 block of NE Loop 410.
According to initial reports, a 37-year-old woman was a passenger in a Lexus traveling westbound in the left lane on the access road.
A black Hyundai driver was driving westbound in the right lane on the access road and changed to the left lane shortly after.
The Lexus then collided with the Hyundai’s driver-side rear quarter. The woman was also not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision, according to the reports.
First responders rushed her to Brooke Army Medical Center with critical injuries when she arrived. There were no other injuries as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Lexus is facing a DWI charge. Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
