The crash happened on a Wednesday evening on Farm-to-Market Road 1716, just east of Tatum.
28-year-old Leonardo O. was driving his Freightliner towing a semi-trailer south of Fort Worth, Texas, on the wrong side of FM 1716 when he crashed.
The victim was traveling south on FM 1716 at that time.
When the southbound pickup hit Ochoa’s towed vehicle, it was partially in the wrong lane, despite efforts to move back into the northbound lane.
Gaytan was pronounced dead at the scene, while Ochoa was reportedly uninjured in the crash.
