One driver was killed, and another person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in the area of east El Paso County on Thursday morning, December 9, 2021.
The fatal collision occurred around 3:15 a.m. in east El Paso County that shut down a stretch of Interstate 10.
According to El Paso County Sheriff’s officials, I-10 westbound from Clint to Horizon was closed until 10:30 a.m. as authorities investigated the fatal crash.
According to a sheriff’s spokeswoman, the wrong-way driver identified as Stephanie M. was declared dead at the scene. The other driver was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
