One driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Wall on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
The crash happened on a Tuesday morning on U.S. 87 near Wall. According to Sgt. Baker from the Texas Department of Public Safety, a white Ford F-550 pickup, and a white Chevy van collided.
The preliminary investigation showed the driver of the F-550 was driving northbound on U.S. 87 when the pickup blew a tire. The driver lost control of the pickup and crossed the center median as a result.
The pickup ended up in the southbound lane and collided head-on with a van heading south on the highway.
The driver of the Chevy van died, while the driver of the Ford pickup received minor injuries.
The victim’s identity will be disclosed when the victim’s next-of-kin has been notified. Local authorities are still investigating the accident.
