[12-17-2021] Denton County, TX – One Person Injured in Truck Accident in Lewisville

One driver was injured after a fiery truck accident in the area of Lewisville on Friday, December 17, 2021.

The tragic crash happened shortly after noon in the express lanes of Interstate 35E, near the Corporate Road exit lane.

The crash involved a FedEx semi-truck traveling on the southbound I-35E highway and crashed into a concrete bulkhead near the Corporate Road exit, police said.

Local authorities said the semi-trailer overturned and caught fire. The truck driver was able to get out of the wreckage with minor injuries.

Officials further revealed that another driver suffered minor injuries after his vehicle was hit by debris from the semi-truck collision.

Crew members are working to clean up an oil spill. The accident remains under investigation.
