Two people identified as 20-year-old LaQuenta H. and 31-year-old Andrew G. were killed in a wrong-way drunk driving crash on the North Freeway on Sunday, December 19, 2021.
The crash happened around 12:35 a.m. on the North Freeway near the White Oak exit.
The black Dodge Charger driver, identified as 26-year-old Sarah G., was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-45 near the White Oak exit, according to Houston police. After that, she collided with a black Kia Rio and a gray Kia Soul.
The man and woman inside the Kia Rio were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police said the 26-year-old driver and the Kia Soul’s driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to authorities, the 26-year-old driver showed signs of intoxication.
Sarah was charged with intoxication manslaughter on two counts.
