[12-31-2021] Nacogdoches County, TX – One Person Killed in Pedestrian Accident in 2100 Block of E. Main Street

One unidentified person was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Nacogdoches on Friday, December 31, 2021.

A fatal auto-pedestrian accident occurred at 8:06 p.m. in the 2100 block of E. Main Street, according to Nacogdoches police.

Officials responded to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian near the intersection of E. Main Street and Lamar Street at 8:06 p.m. Friday.

Officers arrived on the scene and discovered an adult male who had been struck.

The Justice of the Peace pronounced the pedestrian dead. On E. Main Street, all eastbound traffic is being rerouted. The public was asked to stay away from the area.

Local authorities are still investigating the accident.
