[01-04-2022] Tom Green County, TX – Two People Injured in Motorcycle Accident in San Angelo

One unidentified 41-year-old man was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in San Angelo on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

The accident occurred on a Tuesday evening at the intersection of West Ave L. and S. Bryant Blvd.

The collision resulted in the injuries of two motorcycle riders. According to preliminary investigation, the motorcycle was traveling north on S. Bryant Blvd when a pickup traveling south on S. Bryant attempted to turn east onto Ave L.

The Motors Division and the Criminal Investigation Division of the SAPD arrived on the scene to assist with the accident investigation.

The San Angelo Police Department determined that the pickup driver failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle in the intersection.

A 40-year-old man was behind the wheel with a 41-year-old female passenger.

With serious injuries, the male motorcyclist was rushed to Shannon Medical Center. He is listed as being in critical condition, but he is currently stable.

The female passenger received minor injuries, while the pickup driver was unharmed. At this time, it is unknown whether the pickup driver received a citation for failing to yield the right of way at the scene. There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
