One unidentified person was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Houston on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
According to preliminary information, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:00 p.m. at the 900 block of East Loop 610 near Clinton Road.
Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of an auto-pedestrian collision.
As a result of the crash, the pedestrian died.
It was unclear whether the driver involved stayed at the scene after the accident or not. After nearly two hours of closure, the East Loop’s southbound lanes were reopened to traffic.
Once the deceased’s next of kin has been notified, the deceased’s identity will be revealed.
The crash remains under investigation.
