[01-13-2022] Bexar County, TX – One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Dump Truck at Loop 1604 and F.M. 143

Authorities say a driver was killed in an 18-wheeler accident in southwest Bexar County on Thursday afternoon, January 13, 2022.

The fatal two-vehicle crash happened at about 1:15 p.m. at Loop 1604 and F.M. 143.

According to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office officials, the driver of an 18-wheeler dump truck was driving westbound on Loop 1604 when a Lexus pulled out into the intersection at F.M. 143.

The Lexus was hit by an 18-wheeler, which pinned it to a light pole. The driver was killed on the spot.

There is no word on the other driver’s condition.

While crews work to clear the accident, Loop 1604 at Macdona Lacoste is closed. Both Highway 90 and Loop 1604 are closed as well.

Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
