Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office had a different kind of encounter with a 22-year-old driver who is now facing DWI charges in Dallas on Monday, January 17, 2022.
Deputies requested assistance around 1:30 a.m. after a vehicle pulled up alongside them as they worked to assist a motorist along the shoulder of Interstate-30 near Loop 12.
The driver of a gold-colored Honda, according to the deputies, drove onto the right shoulder behind their patrol vehicles and stopped. When two deputies approached the vehicle, the driver stated that something was wrong with her wheels and that she had pulled over.
The driver, Ashley S., was arrested for DWI and taken to the Dallas County Jail after detaining two men and two women and administering field sobriety tests.
While on the side of the highway, no civilians or officers were injured. No bond has been set for her at the moment.
