According to the Lubbock Police Department, one person was killed, and five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision early Monday morning, May 16, 2022.
The fatal collision occurred at 12:15 a.m. near Quaker Avenue and Marsha Sharp Freeway.
According to LPD officers, the wrong-way driver crashed with another car at the 800 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway.
Police initially reported that four people were seriously injured.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol are a major part of the crash.
LPD said more information would be released as it became available.
