According to Beaumont Police, a 39-year-old man identified as Clifford H. Jr. died in a two-vehicle crash in the city’s north end on Thursday night, January 6, 2022.
The fatal collision took place just after 9:30 p.m. in the area of 3100 block of East Lucas Drive.
The 39-year-old man was riding a self-propelled child scooter in the westbound outside lane of the 3100 block of East Lucas Drive when he was struck by a Chevy Suburban, according to police.
Police and paramedics arrived shortly after the accident at the scene near Lucas and Abilene Streets intersection.
According to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department, Hudson was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
There has been no mention of any charges being filed in the accident by police as of yet.
