At least two people had to have limbs amputated after a major three-vehicle crash on the Eastex Freeway on Saturday night, January 8, 2022.
The collision transpired at approximately 11:00 p.m. in the Eastex Freeway’s outbound lanes near Collingsworth Street.
Three cars collided which resulted in three people being taken to the hospital, two of whom had limbs amputated, according to Houston police.
The exact cause of the crash is unknown, but heavy rain is thought to have played a role.
