Two people were killed in a four-vehicle crash in north Houston on Monday night, and a man was arrested and charged on Monday, January 10, 2022.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred around 7:11 p.m. in the 11600 block of Bannister Lane at Little York. Sergio D., 28, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter on two counts.
According to investigators, the 28-year-old driver was headed westbound in a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck when he lost control, hit a curb, and then swerved into the eastbound lane, colliding head-on with a blue Kia Rio.
The Kia was pushed into another lane of traffic, where it was hit by a white Ford F-450 tow truck towing another vehicle.
When the pickup truck rolled over, the female passenger was ejected from the vehicle, according to investigators.
Both she and the Kia’s male driver were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 28-year-old man was taken to the hospital and later charged with the crime.
