29-year-old Deon L., a three-time Olympian from Trinidad and Tobago who coached track at Texas A&M University, was killed in a head-on car accident on FM 485 on Monday evening, January 10, 2022.
The multi-vehicle crash happened around 6:30 p.m. in Milam County
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Lendore was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta sedan westbound on FM 485 when he crossed over the center stripe and side-swiped a vehicle that was traveling eastbound.
His vehicle continued westbound and crossed the center stripe once more, colliding head-on with another vehicle, an Infiniti.
Officials said Lendore was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 65-year-old woman from Conroe, Texas, was the driver of the Infiniti, and she was taken to the hospital with incapacitating injuries.
According to the Texas DPS, the driver of the first vehicle was not injured.
Lendore competed for Trinidad and Tobago in the Olympic Games in 2012, 2016, and 2020, winning bronze in the 4x400m relay at the London 2012 Olympics.
Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics
A car accident can happen to anyone at any time in Texas. Many people have lost their lives in car wrecks in Dallas and other Texas cities.
Because of its size and extensive road system, Texas is the most populous state in the world and the world’s largest economy. Travelers flock to this area because of the many congested highways in this area. More than 246,000 Texans have been injured, and over 3,500 have died as a result of traffic accidents in Texas. Several vehicles collided at this location, resulting in a fatality.
‘Multi-vehicle incidents,’ which involve three or more vehicles, are what we call collisions of this type. A third collision is almost certain to follow because of the “chain reaction” that occurs when two cars collide.

There may be more than one driver at fault in a car accident. It’s not unusual for three or more vehicles to collide. In order to make a successful compensation claim in the state of Texas, you must first identify a weakness in your argument. Multi-vehicle crashes have a few interesting flaws that are worth mentioning. For your own financial well-being after a mishap, you may require the services of a car accident attorney.
Collisions involving three or more vehicles are much more difficult to deal with than collisions involving only two vehicles. A lawsuit can be difficult for accident victims to deal with on top of the physical and emotional trauma of being involved in a crash involving multiple vehicles.
Any injuries you sustain in a car wreck can quickly lead to expensive medical bills. Excruciating pain is also an option. People who have been injured find it difficult to get compensation through the courts.
