One person was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 30 in Hunt County on Thursday night, January 13, 2022.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Kyle Bradford, the fatal multi-vehicle crash transpired at approximately 10:10 p.m. near Caddo Mills.
According to Bradford’s preliminary investigation, a black Hyundai Accent was traveling westbound on the interstate when it rear-ended an 18-wheeler traveling in the same direction for an unknown reason.
Bradford said the impact caused the Hyundai to spin out into the eastbound lane of traffic.
The Hyundai’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the second 18-wheeler’s driver was taken to Hunt Regional with non-life-threatening injuries.
The first 18-wheeler’s driver was unharmed.
Bradford stated that the investigation is still ongoing and that no additional information was available at this time.
