One unidentified female was struck and killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident on West Main Street on Friday, January 14, 2022.
The accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. in the area of 2300 block of West Main Street.
The Grand Prairie officers responded to a crash report and discovered an adult female who had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway, according to police.
The female was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local authorities further stated that the female was crossing the street in a crosswalk when she was hit by a black vehicle traveling west on Main Street.
The vehicle failed to stop for a red light and struck the pedestrian, according to police.
The vehicle then drove away from the scene.
According to police, the black vehicle, which could have been a passenger car, sustained damage to the front driver’s side.
