[01-17-2022] Bexar County, TX – Passenger and Pedestrian Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Northwest Side

According to San Antonio police, two people were killed in a crash on the Northwest Side on Monday evening, January 17, 2022.

The fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 6:44 p.m. at the NW Loop 410 Access Road and Fredricksburg Road.

According to police, a sedan was stopped at a red light on the access road when it was rear-ended by another sedan traveling west.

One of the cars’ front passengers was transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

According to police, a pedestrian standing near the intersection was also struck by the crash’s impact and died at the scene.

According to officers, two other people in the two vehicles were taken to University Hospital in stable condition.

Speed and alcohol are suspected of having played a role, according to police.

It is expected that the area will be closed for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
