More than a dozen high school students and a bus driver were taken to the hospital after a collision involving a Beaumont school bus and another vehicle on Friday, January 21, 2022.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 3:00 p.m. in the 2800 block of North 10th Street and Delaware Street.
According to a spokesperson for the Beaumont Independent School District, the bus was carrying 16 students and a bus driver.
According to the district, four students were released to their parents, two were taken to Baptist Hospital, and 11 were taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, along with the bus driver.
High school students from Beaumont United, according to a source, were on the bus.
EMTs checked to see if the students involved in the crash were okay, according to a 12News crew on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
