[01-21-2022] Somervell County, TX – 49-Year-Old Lawyer Succumbed to Injuries Following Two-Vehicle Crash in Glen Rose

According to Sgt. Richard H. of the Texas Department of Public Safety, 49-year-old Andrew L., a Somervell County attorney, died Friday night from injuries sustained in a major car accident in Glen Rose on Friday, January 21, 2022.

The fatal two-vehicle crash happened at 9:05 a.m. on US 67.

Hunter said Neal D., 62, of Kingsland, was driving a 2019 Freightliner TT towing a semitrailer east on US 67 in the outside lane when an unidentified vehicle on County Road 406 made a right turn in front of him.

Daniel applied the brakes to avoid a collision, according to the news release.

The attorney was driving behind the truck driver in a 2021 Ford Bronco when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with the back of Daniel’s trailer.

According to Hunter, the Bronco became lodged under the trailer and was dragged about 200 yards.

Lucas was flown to Harris Methodist-Downtown by helicopter.

The 62-year-old man was unharmed in the accident.

According to Hunter, no charges have been filed as of yet.
