According to MedStar, four Fort Worth high school students were taken to a hospital for treatment after reports of possible overdoses on Thursday, January 27, 2022.
A MedStar crew arrived at Polytechnic High School around 1:30 p.m. after receiving a report of multiple students experiencing overdose symptoms.
The four students were treated for minor complaints such as nausea and vomiting, according to MedStar, but the exact cause of those symptoms is still unknown.
According to MedStar, the students were taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
At this time, there are no details about the incident.
Fort Worth ISD stated that they are unable to provide any additional information because the incident involves minors other than that appropriate action is being taken.
The Fort Worth Fire Department would only say that they responded and treated a number of children.
It’s unclear whether Fort Worth ISD informed parents and students about the incident.
The incident remains under investigation.
