One unidentified person had been ejected from his car and injured in a two-vehicle collision in Santa Teresa on Monday, January 31, 2022.
The collision happened on a Monday morning at Industrial Rd. and Strauss Rd. intersection.
According to fire crew members, Sunland Park Fire responded to the crash scene after receiving reports of a serious motor vehicle collision.
Two vehicles collided, according to authorities, after allegedly drag racing.
When firefighters arrived, they found two heavily damaged vehicles, one of which was on fire, and one patient who had been ejected.
According to SPFD, one patient was flown to University Medical Center in critical condition by Native Air.
There are no other details available. Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
