Authorities said a two-vehicle crash in the Alief area killed one person and left three others hospitalized on Monday, January 31, 2022.

The collision happened around 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of Harwin Dr. and W Sam Houston Parkway.
According to Houston police, one of the vehicles ran a red light, causing the wreck.
The police reported there were three people inside one vehicle.
They were all taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The other vehicle’s driver died on the spot.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known, but police were investigating whether intoxication played a role.
Investigators were also looking for any surveillance video that might have captured the crash in the area.
