One driver was injured in a pickup truck and a dump truck fiery collision in the Copperas Cove area on Tuesday, February 2.
According to the Copperas Cove Police Department, the two-vehicle crash occurred on a Tuesday morning on W US Highway 190 in the 2200 block.
According to reports, the dump truck was traveling west on W US Highway 190 in the 2200 block when it collided with a pickup truck turning east on the highway from Big Divide Road.
The dump truck also collided with a light pole, causing it to catch fire. Before officers or firefighters arrived on the scene, the dump truck driver was able to exit his vehicle.
The driver of the black pickup truck was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation, and the outcome will determine whether or not charges will be filed.
