One person was killed, and another was injured in a car accident in northeast Travis County late Sunday night, February 13, 2022.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 10:40 p.m. in the 12000 block of Harris Branch Parkway, south of East Parmer Lane.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the area in question was in the 2900 block of Parmer Lane.
According to the DPS, a Chevrolet and an Acura were driving side-by-side when they collided, with the Acura crossing the median and into oncoming traffic on Parmer Lane.
According to the report, the Acura collided with another Chevrolet and caught fire. The driver of the Acura was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another injured person was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center by ATCEMS medics with potentially serious injuries.
There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
