[05-16-2022] Jefferson County, TX – 32-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed, Woman Seriously Injured in Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Highway 82

A 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Port Arthur on Saturday, May 16, 2022.

The fatal collision occurred at 9:00 p.m. on 1100 block Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Highway 82.

The motorcyclist was identified as Wayne P. from Orange and was killed when his 2021 Honda motorcycle collided with a car.

According to a Port Arthur Police Department news release, Prosperie had already died when crews arrived at the scene. A 34-year-old woman was riding with him and was seriously hurt.

The other driver was not hurt, according to the release.

The police department is still figuring out what caused the fatal collision.
