[05-17-2022] McLennan County, TX - 65-Year-Old Man Dead in Single-Vehicle Crash in WacoAccording to the Waco Police Department, a 65-year-old man died after a fatal crash on Elm Street Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

The fatal crash transpired around 9:45 a.m. near the 1200 Block of Elm Street.

The cause of the crash, according to authorities, was a medical episode that the man had while driving.

Waco resident Armando T., 65, crashed into four parked and unoccupied vehicles.

According to the news release, Topete’s vehicle landed on its side, requiring the Waco Fire Department to extricate him and an 83-year-old woman from the vehicle.

Both of them were taken to a nearby hospital, where Topete died later. According to police, the woman may have suffered serious injuries.

At this time, no additional information has been released.

The crash is still under investigation.
