According to Marble Falls Police Capt. Trisha Ratliff, the crash occurred at about 6:00 p.m at the Rivercrest Apartments in the 1100 block of Avenue K.
Marble Falls police, Marble Falls Fire Rescue, and Marble Falls Area EMS units responded.
The investigation, according to Ratliff, is still ongoing. According to initial reports, several children exited the vehicle with their mother prior to the collision.
According to the statement, the vehicle’s driver, who was also a family member, thought all of the children had left the area surrounding the car before backing out, but a 1-year-old was struck and injured.
The child was taken to an Austin hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently stable.
