According to San Antonio police, a motorcyclist is in the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries following a motorcycle crash on the city’s far West Side early Monday morning, May 30, 2022.
The crash occurred just before 3:00 a.m. near Horal Street and Easy Valley Street, not far from Loop 410 and Marbach Road.
According to police, a Toyota Camry was driving north of Horal Street behind a motorcycle, which was said to have been driving erratically.
The motorcycle then slowed or came to a halt in front of the Toyota, according to police.
According to police, the driver of the Toyota attempted to swerve to avoid hitting the motorcycle but was unable to do so.
EMS transported the motorcyclist, a 41-year-old man, to University Hospital with critical injuries.
According to SAPD, the Toyota’s driver was found to be inebriated and was arrested for DWI.
The driver was adamant about not giving a statement.
The case is still being investigated.
