According to the authorities, two people suffered injuries following a motorcycle crash on the East Side early Monday morning, May 30, 2022.
According to the authorities, the hit-and-run motorcycle collision occurred around midnight in the 930 block of Gembler Road, not far from North W.W. White Road.
According to preliminary reports, a man and a woman were riding a motorcycle on Gembler Road when another vehicle attempted to pass a bus stopped on the side of the road.
The vehicle passed the bus by merging into oncoming traffic, putting the motorcycle in danger of colliding head-on.
According to first responders, the motorcycle had not been hit, but it was still involved in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop and fled the scene. Officers are on the lookout for the driver right now.
The motorcycle’s 53-year-old rider was taken to a nearby hospital with what appeared to be a broken right ankle.
The woman appeared to be injured and was taken to the hospital by her family for evaluation. As a result of the accident, no one has been arrested.
There are currently no other details available.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
