According to the Texas Department of Safety, an Odessa man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Ector County Sunday morning, June 5, 2022.
The fatal collision occurred at around 3:15 a.m. west on 8th Street on SH 302.
According to DPS, the man killed was Angel A., a 44-year-old man who was driving a truck west on 8th Street.
DPS says Alvarado failed to yield right of way and was struck by a truck towing a trailer that was traveling south on SH 302.
Alvarado, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was taken to Medical Center Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The other driver was not injured.
No further information is available, and DPS is still investigating the crash.
