According to the Amarillo Police Department, an elderly couple was killed in a two-vehicle rollover crash in Amarillo Sunday afternoon, June 5, 2022.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Soncy Road and Buccola Avenue.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, Sebastian M., 21, was traveling south on Soncy at a high rate of speed when his Dodge Durango hit a Ford Taurus turning left onto Buccola.
The Durango rolled over. Both vehicles ended up in the drainage ditch.
Janice H., 75, and Wayne H., 72, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Macias was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
