According to the Port Arthur Police, a two-vehicle collision critically injured a driver on State Highway 73 Thursday, June 9, 2022.
The two-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 7:00 a.m. in the 2200 block of W SH 73.
The passenger car driver sustained major injuries when his vehicle was involved in a collision with the rear of a tractor-trailer.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a significant role in the accident.
During the time that officers were conducting their investigation of the crash, Highway 73 was closed from Winnie to West Port Arthur Road.
