[06-11-2021] Houston County, TX – 8-Year-Old Boy Killed After a Deadly Road Rage Incident

A 9-year-old boy was listed in critical condition after getting accidentally shot in the chest by his father during an alleged road rage incident on June 11, 2021.

The incident occurred at approximately 11;00 p.m. in Houston’s Fifth Ward in the eastern part of the city.

The father was driving along with his 9-year-old son when he believed he was being followed by another vehicle. The boy’s father then pulled out a gun, but as they were about to go home, the father accidentally shot his gun as he put it back in his holster.

Unfortunately, the 9-year-old boy was hit by one of the bullets. The father immediately drove his son to the hospital. It’s unclear whether a road rage incident did occur.

The 9-year-old boy was listed in critical condition but is expected to survive. No criminal charges were filed against the father.

The father is cooperating with investigators while the official investigation is underway.
