Three people sustained injuries around 50th and Bangor Avenue on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
The crash occurred around 1:54 p.m. at 50th Street and Bangon, according to Lubbock Police.
Authorities report that 22-year-old Michael C. was traveling westbound in the 5200 block of 50th Street in his Ford Econoline while 63-year-old Dennis S. was traveling eastbound in the same block in his Chevrolet Express.
The Ford collided with the Chevrolet as it crossed the eastbound lanes.
Coppedge sustained severe injuries while a passenger in the Ford sustained moderate injuries. They were both rushed to University Medical Center.
Shipman sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Covenant Medical Center.
Local authorities are still investigating the accident.
