One unidentified 20-year-old driver was killed in a head-on crash on Highway 281 on Friday, November 26, 2021.
The crash transpired at approximately 3:00 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Highway 281 near Josephine Street near Pearl.
The police received reports of a white pickup truck driving southbound in the northbound lanes.
The pickup truck then collided with a black Nissan Sentra when it reached the area of Josephine Street.
The pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the Nissan driver was critically injured and was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
