Three people lost their lives in a two-vehicle crash in El Paso on Wednesday, December 1.
The fatal crash happened around 1:45 p.m. at North Loop Drive and Lee Trevino Drive.
Three fatalities were confirmed by a police spokesman from the crash. All of the people who died were in the SUV while the truck driver was not seriously injured.
Two of the deceased had to be removed from the SUV using the Jaws of Life, but the third was found outside the vehicle and didn’t have to be extracted.
The identities the deceased were 67-year-old passenger Elia Dela Cruz V., 69-year-old driver David V., and a 90-year-old passenger who was also a passenger but name was not disclosed.
Investigators also stated that the speeding SUV that ran a red light was to blame for the accident involving a semi-truck.
